  • Key Function: They serve as the receiving bin where dump trucks or loaders feed raw material before it enters the primary crusher (like a Jaw Crusher). They must absorb significant impact.
  • Fabrication Focus:
    • Material: Built using Extra Heavy-Duty grade Mild Steel (MS) or High-Manganese Steel plates (thick gauge, 8 mm to 16 ), often with extensive external stiffening and reinforcement to withstand impact.
    • Lining: Often lined with replaceable Abrasion-Resistant (AR) steel plates, such as Hardox or high-chrome iron, to protect the main structural steel from wear caused by heavy, sharp rock.
